IRRIGATION TECHNICIAN, Seasonal

Overview

We are looking for a reliable individual for our open irrigation technician position to install and service our client's irrigation equipment. You will be responsible for following the mapped out irrigation areas, digging trenches, installing equipment, testing the system, and conducting regular maintenance checks. You may also be required to install electrical timer systems, plumb outdoor water tanks, and connect water-recycling systems. To ensure success as an irrigation technician, you should exhibit a strong worth ethic, ability to follow instructions, have detailed knowledge of irrigation techniques, and be able to operate heavy machinery when required.  

Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting and loading equipment for the day's work.

  • Driving to the client's location.

  • Mapping out areas for irrigation installation.

  • Digging trenches and installing pipes and lines.

  • Installing pumps and electrical timers.

  • Testing the irrigation system with the aid of computer software.

  • Conducting routine maintenance checks.

  • Troubleshooting and replacing faulty parts.

  • Completing progress reports and associated paperwork.

 Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Proven work experience as an Irrigation Technician preferred

  • Knowledge of plumbing is a plus

  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions

  • Ability to stand for long periods, kneel and bend repeatedly, and lift heavy objects

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Residential Service Electrician to join our team at Adams Power in Elkhorn, WI. As a Residential Service Electrician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch electrical services to our residential customers, ensuring their homes are safe and powered efficiently. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential settings

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues

  • Ensure all work is in accordance with relevant codes and safety standards

  • Provide excellent customer service and communication

  • Keep accurate records of work performed

Requirements:

  • Valid WI Residential Journeyman Electrician's License -or- meet the required DWD approved hours and ready to test

  • Must have 4+ years of Residential Electrical experience with a focus on remodels, service upgrades, etc. (must be annotated on resume and/or application)

  • HS Diploma or equivalent 

  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record the past 5-years

  • OSHA 10 required within 6-months of hire

We are currently hiring for a Forklift Operator. (Loader)

 

What you’ll do

SAFETY  - Operate their equipment in a safe and non-abusive manner.

QUALITY CONTROL - Inspects all packages of product to be loaded onto a truck or being pulled off the plant line(s) and reports to the Yard Supervisor or the Shift Supervisor all packaging deficiencies, missing bundle tags, and any other quality problems.

OPERATIONS 

  • Performs the daily maintenance checklist for the forklift(s)

  • Load trucks promptly and properly according to shipping documents

  • Pulls finished product from the plant production lines and stores the material into the yard according to company procedures

  • Store material to ensure proper stock rotation

  • Picks up and/or cleans up and re-straps any broken bundles in the yard

  • Participates in monthly inventory counts

REPORTING

  • Daily equipment checklist

  • Any safety or mechanical issues with the equipment

  • Shipping documents used to load trucks

HOUSEKEEPING - The general cleanliness and tidiness of the yard and work areas

OTHER DUTIES 

  • Additional duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor, Senior Supervisor, or Plant Manager

 

What you need to succeed - Previous forklift experience
